It’s been a very busy week. I have not had a moment to think about how I am feeling or symptoms, it has just whizzed by.
I saw my weight dip below 15 stone for the first time in about 9 years. It was a big moment.
I am now having a weekend of carbs and treats. On Thursday I had afternoon tea at The Lanesborough Hotel in London, Friday was a picnic at Glyndebourne, today I am off to an open air cinema night, where I have promised myself a burger, then tomorrow I’m having barbeque in my brothers garden to celebrate my Mum’s 80th birthday.
It feels good to have lost enough weight to feel confident and to not worry that 4 days of events will be enough to undo all the good. I have made my peace with the decision to relax and eat whatever I fancy over this weekend, safe in the knowledge that on Monday, I will be back on it.
This is the longest I have maintained a weight loss every week. As I start week 14 my motivation and confidence has not reduced. I am making changes that will be forever. This new way of eating has to be flexible enough to accommodate the high days and holidays, even if they do come 4 in a row!
I go on holiday to Austria in 3 weeks. I hope to be firmly into the 14 stone zone by then, so that, even if I put on a few pounds, I will not return to the 15 stone zone.
I am keen to say goodbye to each stone zone and never see them again.
So, I’m off to the cinema now, and looking forward to my burger, and fries, and who knows, maybe a cocktail or an ice cream.
And fingers crossed I can still chalk up a loss this week even if it is just a pound.
Can I ask wer I’m going wrong I’m sticking to low cals eating fruit veg fish chicken protein bagels an scales nit moving
It’s such a complex issue with lots of contributing factors. I hope you start to notice a difference soon. Jx
