Saturday 4 July – I’ve done it!

Saturday 4 July – I’ve done it!

I’ve made it! I’ve hit my target!

I still fluctuate, but this is now going to be forever, so I have no intention of trying to stick at one single point on the scales for the rest of my life, but I do want to always stay in the 10 stone bracket

I’ve been on the jabs now for over two years. I’m now taking half a dose each week in an attempt to maintain.

Saturday 22 November – 1 stone to go & Park Run

park run stats

Woohoo! Only 1 stone to go to target. It may take another 6 months, but I’m in no rush.

I also made my return to Park Run after a 10-year absence.

I did my first Park Run 10 years ago, almost to the day. It was a cold November day, long before Park Run became this phenomenon that attracts people of all abilities. 10 years ago, it was for runners.

Friday 14 November – 8 stone lost!

me

I have shown my start weight as 17stone 8lb, but as I mention on the homepage, my heaviest weight was 19stone 10lb in 2020. I managed to lose 2 stone on my own, before starting the jab. So, while the dashboard shows all y detailed weight loss since the day I started the jabs, I have always had in my head my start weight at 19 stone 10lb. This means I have now lost a whopping 8 stone!

Sunday 28 September – The 36 hour fast

plate with clock

It started 7pm on Friday the 26th.  My last food was Chicken Fajitas, chocolate, and 2 jam doughnuts!

My intention is to only have water and black tea with lemon until Sunday morning. I have booked a table for Sunday lunch at 1pm so if I last until then, it will actually be over 42 hours!

I will write what I experience, notice and feel as I go along and share it here.

Friday 12 September – A new stone, and a cruise.

me

My exciting news is that today I finally broke into a new stone bracket. I am officially 11 stone 13.6lbs. It has taken me exactly 6 months to lose this last stone, which sounds like a long time, but it is an average of half a pound a week, which I have to say I’m really pleased with. I still find myself slightly in shock that I am now 18 months into this journey and I’m still slowly, albeit very slowly, losing weight. I’ve said that if I didn’t lose any more weight and I stay this way for the rest of my life I’d be happy, but to see these small continual losses is very reassuring.

Saturday 5 July – A normal person?

Me

This past month I have lost a grand total of 1.4lb

How amazing is that? 60 weeks on and I am still losing weight. Yes, it’s slow, but it’s still going. I can hardly remember the time before. I feel like a normal person now.

Normal? Yes, I feel normal. Or at least how I assume it feels to be ‘normal’.

No-one knows how it feels to be anyone else, we are all living in our own unique bubble of thoughts, feelings, and experiences.

Tuesday 11 February – Size 14 knickers!

me

It’s been a busy month since I last wrote. I am, officially, a size 14! I am wearing M&S Size 14 knickers, I own 2 size 14 tops, and, even one size 12!! I know.

I was in Asda, and I saw a T-shirt that looked cute and was only £8. They only had either size 12 or 18. It looked roomy, so I thought, why not, give it a go. And it fits!
