Sunday 28 September – The 36 hour fast

plate with clock

It started 7pm on Friday the 26th.  My last food was Chicken Fajitas, chocolate, and 2 jam doughnuts!

My intention is to only have water and black tea with lemon until Sunday morning. I have booked a table for Sunday lunch at 1pm so if I last until then, it will actually be over 42 hours!

I will write what I experience, notice and feel as I go along and share it here.

Friday 12 September – A new stone, and a cruise.

me

My exciting news is that today I finally broke into a new stone bracket. I am officially 11 stone 13.6lbs. It has taken me exactly 6 months to lose this last stone, which sounds like a long time, but it is an average of half a pound a week, which I have to say I’m really pleased with. I still find myself slightly in shock that I am now 18 months into this journey and I’m still slowly, albeit very slowly, losing weight. I’ve said that if I didn’t lose any more weight and I stay this way for the rest of my life I’d be happy, but to see these small continual losses is very reassuring.

Thursday 7 August – No longer obese, just overweight!

BMI result

That sounds like a backhanded compliment but feels like an achievement to be ‘only’ overweight!

Today I tipped the scales at 12stone 1lb which creeps my BMI into 29.9

At my largest, 19 stone 10lb, my BMI was 48.9 which used to be called ‘morbidly obese’ until someone decided that sounded just plain rude. So now they call it ‘severely obese’.

Saturday 5 July – A normal person?

Me

This past month I have lost a grand total of 1.4lb

How amazing is that? 60 weeks on and I am still losing weight. Yes, it’s slow, but it’s still going. I can hardly remember the time before. I feel like a normal person now.

Normal? Yes, I feel normal. Or at least how I assume it feels to be ‘normal’.

No-one knows how it feels to be anyone else, we are all living in our own unique bubble of thoughts, feelings, and experiences.

Tuesday 11 February – Size 14 knickers!

me

It’s been a busy month since I last wrote. I am, officially, a size 14! I am wearing M&S Size 14 knickers, I own 2 size 14 tops, and, even one size 12!! I know.

I was in Asda, and I saw a T-shirt that looked cute and was only £8. They only had either size 12 or 18. It looked roomy, so I thought, why not, give it a go. And it fits!

Sunday 19 January – The book is launched!

Sunday 19 January – The book is launched!

It’s official, It’s a book. I am so proud of it and so excited. You can order your copy here https://amzn.eu/d/7GetjSK

The first half is my story, then there is a section for you to write yours. I am so happy that anyone searching on Amazon will hopefully find my book and it can provide support and information. Thanks for following my story here. I will continue to write my blog, just maybe not quite so frequently. I will keep my dashboard updated weekly so readers of both the blog and the book can track my progress. It also provides great accountability for me too!

Thanks to everyone who helped to make this happen. And good luck to everyone on this journey.
